TimeClock Plus (TCP): Enter Time Worked for an Employee

Overview

Supervisors can use the TimeClock Plus (TCP) Manager application to enter time worked on behalf of an employee, update job and budget codes, and approve entries for payroll processing.

Prerequisites

To complete this task, you'll need:

  • An active Northwood Tech employee account with supervisor access.
  • Access to the TimeClock Plus (TCP) Manager application.
  • The employee's information, including any required job or budget codes.
  • The 5-digit class number for instructional faculty entries, if applicable.

Before You Begin

Keep the following in mind before entering time for an employee:

  • Time entries can only be created for dates within 100 days of the current pay period.
  • Verify the Job Code and Budget Code before saving the entry.
  • A 5-digit class number is required in the Note field for instructional faculty entries.
⚠️ Important: When entering time on behalf of an employee, you must approve both the supervisor approval (M) and employee approval (E) before applying the changes.

Instructions

Access Employee Hours

  1. Sign in to MyCampus.
  2. Click the TimeClock Manager (TCP) app.
  3. Click the Menu (three horizontal lines) in the upper-left corner.

Enter Employee Time

  1. Select Hours > Individual Hours.
  2. Search for and select the appropriate employee using their name or Employee ID.
  3. Navigate to the appropriate date.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Enter the Time In and Time Out.
  6. Select the appropriate Job Code.
  7. Verify the Budget Code.
    • If the budget code is correct, leave it as is.
    • To change it, begin typing the budget code or click Select to search for and choose the correct code.
  8. If entering instructional faculty time, enter the required 5-digit class number in the Note field.
  9. Click Save.

Approve the Time Entry

  1. Select the checkbox under the M column to indicate supervisor approval.
  2. Select the checkbox under the E column to indicate employee approval.
  3. Click Apply Changes.

Troubleshooting

My session timed out

Navigate back to MyApps and click on TimeClock Plus again.

I need to edit a time entry

Click Edit, on the section you wish to edit. Make the necessary changes and click Save.

I need to delete a time entry

Click Clear, on the section you wish to delete.

I can't enter time for the selected date

Time entries can only be created for dates within 100 days of the current pay period.

If you're unable to enter or approve your employees time, or their timesheet appears incorrect after reviewing it, submit a request with Talent & Culture.
