TimeClock Plus (TCP): Enter Instructional Time Worked

Overview

Use TimeClock Plus (TCP) to record instructional time worked. This article explains how to enter instructional hours, select the appropriate job code and budget code, enter the required class number, and approve your timesheet.

Prerequisites

To complete this task, you'll need:

  • An active Northwood Tech employee account.
  • Access to MyCampus.
  • Access to the TimeClock Plus (TCP) application.
  • The appropriate 5-digit class number.

Before You Begin

Keep the following in mind when entering instructional time:

  • Select the appropriate Job Code for the work performed.
  • Verify the Budget Code before saving your entry.
  • A 5-digit class number is required in the Note field for every instructional time entry.
⚠️ Important: Instructional time should only be entered for approved instructional assignments.

Instructions

Access Your Timesheet

  1. Sign in to MyCampus.
  2. Click the TimeClock Plus (TCP) app.
  3. Click the Menu (three horizontal lines) in the upper-left corner.

Enter Instructional Time

  1. Click Manage Time Sheet.
  2. Navigate to the appropriate date.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Enter the Time In and Time Out.
  5. Select the appropriate Job Code.
  6. Verify the Budget Code.
    • If the budget code is correct, leave it as is.
    • To change it, begin typing the budget code or click Select to search for and choose the correct code.
  7. In the Note field, enter the required 5-digit class number.
  8. Click Save.

Approve Your Timesheet

After entering your instructional hours:

  • To approve a single day, select the Approve checkbox for that day.
  • To approve the entire week, click Approve Week.

Verify Supervisor Approval

To check whether your instructional time has been approved:

  1. Select View > Hours.
  2. Locate your instructional time entry.

Supervisor approval is indicated by the following status icons:

Status Description
Green Check Mark Approved by your supervisor.
Red X Waiting for supervisor approval.

Troubleshooting

I don't know my class number

Contact your supervisor to obtain the required 5-digit class number before entering your instructional time.

The wrong budget code is displayed

Edit the Budget Code field by typing the correct code or selecting it from the list before saving your entry.

My instructional time hasn't been approved

Review the approval status in View > Hours. If the entry is still awaiting approval, contact your supervisor.
