Overview
If you've forgotten your Northwood Tech password, you can reset it using the MyCampus self-service password reset tool. To use this option, you must have an alternate (recovery) email address associated with your account.
This article explains how to verify your identity, create a new password, and regain access to your Northwood Tech account.
Key Information
- You must have an alternate (recovery) email address associated with your account to use the self-service password reset tool.
- Your new password must be at least 13 characters long.
- Your new password cannot match a previously used password.
- After resetting your password, it may take a few minutes for the change to synchronize across Northwood Tech systems.
📝 Note: If you do not have an alternate email address associated with your account, or you no longer have access to it, you'll need to contact the
IT Service Desk before you can reset your password.
Prerequisites
Before resetting your password, make sure you have:
- An active Northwood Tech student or employee account
- Your Northwood Tech email address
- Access to your alternate (recovery) email address
- An internet connection
Instructions
Reset Your Password
- Go to https://www.northwoodtech.edu.
- Click MyCampus.
- Enter your Northwood Tech email address.
- Student Email Example: jstudent1234@northwoodtech.edu
- Employee Email Example: joe.employee@northwoodtech.edu
- Click Next.

- Click Forgot my password?

- If prompted, enter your Northwood Tech email address.
- Complete the CAPTCHA by entering the characters displayed on the screen.
- Select Next.

- Select Email my alternate email.
- Click Email.

- Check your alternate email account for the verification code.
- If you don't see the email, check your Junk or Spam folder.

- Enter the verification code.
- Select Next.

- Enter new password.
- Re-enter your new password, to confirm it.
- Click Finish.

- Click click here to return to the MyCampus sign-in page.

- Sign in using your Northwood Tech email address and your new password.
💡 Tip: If you don't receive the verification email, check your Junk or Spam folder before requesting another verification code.
Troubleshooting
I don't have an alternate email address on my account
Try the following:
- Contact the IT Service Desk to have an alternate email address added to your account.
- Once your alternate email has been added or updated, repeat the password reset process.
I didn't receive the verification email
Try the following:
- Check your Junk or Spam folder.
- Verify you selected Email my alternate email.
- Wait a few minutes and try sending the code again.
- If you still don't receive the email, contact the Service Desk.
I no longer have access to my alternate email address
Try the following:
- Contact the IT Service Desk .
- Be prepared to verify your identity before your alternate email address can be updated.
The verification code doesn't work
Try the following
- Enter the most recent verification code you received.
- Request a new code if the previous one has expired.
- Verify that you've entered the code exactly as shown.
My new password isn't accepted
Try the following:
- Verify that your password contains at least 13 characters.
- Verify that your password meets all password requirements.
- Confirm that both password fields match exactly.
- Choose a password that hasn't been used previously.
I reset my password but still can't sign in
Try the following:
- Wait a few minutes for your password to synchronize.
- Verify that you're signing in with your Northwood Tech email address.
- Verify that you're entering your new password.
- Restart your browser and try again.
I forgot my Northwood Tech email address
Try the following:
- Review your admissions, enrollment, or onboarding communications.
- Contact the IT Service Desk if you need assistance locating your email address.
