Overview
Northwood Tech provides students and employees with access to The Chronicle of Higher Education, including premium content available through the college's subscription.
Access is available automatically when connected to the Northwood Tech network. When accessing The Chronicle from off campus, you can create an account using your Northwood Tech email address.

📝 Note: When accessing The Chronicle from off campus, make sure you use your Northwood Tech email address when creating your account so your access can be associated with the college subscription.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, you'll need:
- An active Northwood Tech student or employee account.
- Your Northwood Tech email address.
- Internet access.
- A supported web browser.
Instructions
Access The Chronicle On Campus
When connected to the Northwood Tech network:
- Go to The Chronicle of Higher Education.
- You will be automatically authenticated through the Northwood Tech network.
- You can now access available free and premium content.
Access The Chronicle Off Campus
When accessing The Chronicle from off campus:
- Go to The Chronicle of Higher Education.
- Click Log in, in the upper-right corner of the page.
- Click Create an account now.
- Enter your Northwood Tech email address.
- Confirm your email address, if prompted.
- Follow the remaining steps to complete your account setup.
Once your account is set up, you can access available free and premium content through the Northwood Tech subscription.

Troubleshooting
I can't access premium content
Try the following:
- Verify you're using your Northwood Tech email address.
- If you're on campus, verify you're connected to the Northwood Tech network.
- If you're off campus, make sure you created your Chronicle account using your Northwood Tech email address.
- Sign out of The Chronicle and sign back in.
- Try accessing the site using a supported web browser.
I can't create an account
Try the following:
- Verify you're entering your Northwood Tech email address correctly.
- Check your email for any account verification message from The Chronicle.
- Verify you're connected to the internet.
- Try creating your account again using a different supported web browser.
