Northwood Tech students can request an official student ID card by submitting the Student ID Request Form and uploading a photo that meets the college's ID photo requirements. Once your request has been processed, you'll be contacted to schedule a pickup appointment.

Before you begin, you'll need:
- Access to the Student ID Request Form
- A photo that meets the ID photo requirements
- A government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license) to bring to your pickup appointment
- The ability to pick up your ID card in person
Instructions
Need a Clinical Badge?
If you need a clinical badge for a clinical program, contact your instructor for instructions.
📝 Note: Clinical badges are not requested through the Student ID Request Form.
Request a Student ID Card
- Go to the Student ID Request Form.
- Complete the required information.
- Upload a photo that meets the following requirements:
- Similar to a driver's license or passport photo.
- Plain, uncluttered background.
- Clear, unobstructed view of your face.
- Straight-on photo from the waist up (no selfie angles).
- No hats or scarves, except for religious head coverings.
- No face masks.
- No filters or photo effects.
- Stand naturally with your arms at your sides (no poses).
- Click Submit.
Pick Up Your Student ID Card
After your request has been processed:
- Watch for communication from a Classroom Support Technician.
- Schedule your pickup appointment.
- Bring a government-issued photo ID to your appointment.
- Sign for your student ID card.
- Receive your student ID card.
📝 Note: Student ID cards must be picked up in person and cannot be picked up by another individual on your behalf.
Troubleshooting
My photo was rejected
Try the following:
- Verify that your photo meets all of the photo requirements.
- Submit a new photo with a plain background and a clear view of your face.
- Remove hats, face coverings, or photo filters before taking a new picture.
I haven't been contacted to schedule my pickup appointment
Try the following:
- Check your Northwood Tech email for updates.
- Allow sufficient time for your request to be processed.
- If you have not received a response after a reasonable amount of time, contact the Library or submit a Service Desk ticket.
I can't attend my scheduled pickup appointment
Try the following:
- Contact the Library as soon as possible to reschedule your appointment.
I need a clinical badge instead of a student ID
Try the following:
- Contact your instructor for instructions on obtaining your clinical badge.
