Perceptive Content: Resolve the "prependAttrValue" JavaScript Error

Prerequisites

Before you begin, you'll need:

  • A Northwood Tech employee account
  • Google Chrome
  • Access to Perceptive Content
  • A connection to the Northwood Tech VPN if working remotely

Instructions

Clear Your Browser Cache

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete.
  3. From the Time Range drop-down menu, select All Time.
  4. Click Delete Data.

Test in an Incognito Window

  1. Copy the URL for your Anthology or PeopleSoft page.
  2. Open a new Google Chrome Incognito window.
  3. Paste the copied URL into the address bar.
  4. Press Enter.
  5. Attempt your Perceptive Content printing or linking process again.

Troubleshooting

I'm still receiving the "prependAttrValue" error

Try the following:

  • Restart your computer and repeat the steps in this article.

The issue only occurs in my normal browser window

Try the following:

  • Clear your browser cache again.
  • Disable browser extensions, if applicable.
  • Continue using the Incognito window until the issue has been resolved.

I'm still unable to use Perceptive Content

Try the following:

  • Verify that you can access Anthology or PeopleSoft.
  • Submit an IT Service Desk ticket and include:
    • The exact error message.
    • A screenshot of the error, if possible.
    • The steps you were performing when the error occurred.
