Connect to Wi-Fi - Employee

Overview

This article provides step-by-step instructions for employees to connect their iPhone or iPad to Wi-Fi on Northwood Tech campuses. It explains how to locate and select the correct network, sign in using college credentials if prompted, and verify a successful connection. The guide also includes basic troubleshooting tips for common connection issues to help students get online quickly and reliably.

Prerequisites

  • An iPad or iPhone with internet access
  • An active employee email address

Instructions

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
    Tap NorthwoodWN.

     
  3. Enter your Northwood Tech ID number and password.
    Tap the blue check mark in the upper right-hand corner.

     
  4. Tap Trust.

     
  5. You are now connected to the internet. 

Troubleshooting

  1. Make sure that you are using just your Northwood Tech ID number and not your email address.
  2. Make sure that your device is running the most current version iOS.  To check go to Settings > General > Software Update.  If there are updates, install and then try adding your account. 
  3. Try a hard restart.  
    • To hard restart an iPhone or iPad without a home button, quickly press and release Volume Up, then Volume Down, then press and hold the Side/Top button until the Apple logo appears. This safe procedure fixes frozen screens and app crashes without deleting data.
    • To hard restart an iPhone or iPad with a Home button, press and hold both the Home button and the Top (or Side) button simultaneously. Continue holding both buttons until the screen goes black and the Apple logo reappears, then release
