Reset My Multifactor Authentication

If you’ve recently changed your phone or phone number, you’ll need to contact the Service Desk to have your Microsoft Authenticator reset before you can set it up again. To help us process your request quickly, please include the following details when submitting your ticket:

  • Student ID Number
  • Northwood Tech Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Personal Email Address

Instructions

  1. Install Microsoft Authenticator on your mobile device.
    • Google Play (Android)
    • AppStore (Apple)

     
  2. NOTE:If you already have the app isntalled and have a Northwood Tech account listed there, you will need to remove it.
  3. Go to MyCampus, https://myapplications.microsoft.com/.
  4. Enter your Northwood Tech email address.
    • Student: jstudent1234@northwoodtech.edu
    • Employee: Joe.Employee@northwoodtech.edu
    Click Next.
  5. Enter your Northwood Tech password.
    Click Next.
  6. Click Next, on your desktop/laptop.
  7. Click Next, on your desktop/laptop.
  8. If this is the first time using the Authenticator app on your mobile device . . .
    • Open the Authenticator app on your mobile device.
    • Click Accept.
    • Click Continue.
    • Click Scan a QR Code.
  9. If you already have an account in Authenticator on your mobile device . . .
    • Click the + in the upper right-hand corner.
    • Click Work or school account.
    • Click Scan a QR code.
  10. Click Next, on your desktop/laptop
  11. Using your mobile device, scan the QR code that is displaying on your desktop/laptop screen.
  12. Enter the Code displayed on your deskeop/laptop into the Authenticator app on your mobile device.
    Click Yes.
  13. Click Next, on your desktop/laptop
  14. Click Done, on your desktop/laptop.
  15. You should now see the Apps dashboard for Northwood Technical College.
